Field Trip to the Performing Arts Annex

We enjoyed short plays performed by the Asian Theater group.

Anthony was called on stage to participate!

Counting Coins

We practiced counting coins by counting the money we brought in for Pasta for Pennies!

We raised around $130 for people who have leukemia!

            

Happy Lunar New Year!

We read a story and learned about the cultures that celebrate the Lunar New Year!

The color red is a symbol of good luck!

 

 

City Government Skits

We learned that the citizens make suggestions for what their city needs to the city council.  Then, the city council makes a decision and checks with the mayor for approval.  We performed skits to show this process.  It was fun being part of the city government!

Vocabulary Fun

We used play dough to learn about our vocabulary words! 

It was fun to use it to show the meaning of the words!

The Rob Thorsen Quartet

The Rob Thorsen Quartet came to OLSH on Friday! 

Listening to the band play fun, jazz music was amazing!  

We had fun clapping to the beat and singing to their tunes!

It's Christmas Time!!

We strung lights and garland around our Christmas tree to get it ready for our Jesse Tree ornaments!

Each ornament has a symbol of a person or event that led to the birth of Jesus.  

We are excited to begin our Advent journey!
